The
Indian Table Tennis star Achanta Sarath Kamal made nation proud
when he became the first Indian player to win a title on ITTF Pro
Tour winning Egypt Open on July 11, 2010 at Cairo. He defeated Li
Ching of Hong Kong in straight sets 11-7, 11-9, 11-8, 11-4 in the
final to notch up the biggest title of his career. He had
to wait for three year to engrave his name in the winners list on
the Pro Tour. Three year earlier Sarath Kamal finished runner-up
in the Indian Open, a Pro Tour event, on the home soil.
Sarath
Kamal, who grabbed US Open title at Michigan
earlier this month, was seeded 6th in the Egypt Open. He
kept his winning spree intact through out the |
|
event and won his matches with sheer determination, however Abdel Kader of France
gave him good fight in the quarter final but Sarath clinched the
decider in spectacular manner. Hereunder is the sum-up of his
tremendous win the Egypt Open -
