Sania-Vesnina jump to second spot 

           The semifinal appearance in the women's doubles event at the just concluded Wimbledon championship, catapulted Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina of Russia to number two position in the WTA ranking. Sania-Elena pair have 4506 points to their credit while leading pair of Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik, have 6865 points. The top-four pairs will compete in the prestigious year-end championship. 


Keshav picks a gold and silver at Special Olympics

           Keshav Malik and his partner Rohan Jaywant did the country proud by winning gold medal in the men's doubles Badminton event, in the Special Olympics 2011 in Greece. Keshav had earlier won the mixed doubles silver, pairing up with Shakhu Nagarkar. Players from 185 countries competed in the Special Olympics.
