Indian male team, which
won gold medal at the Stage II Meet at Antalya in June,
finished 6th. Missing one of its best archer - Rahul
Banerjee, in the team, India couldn't come to terms and fell
to Italy in the quarterfinals 216-219 after overcoming
Colombia 215-213 in the round of 16. Indian team comprised
Tarundeep Rai, Mangal Singh Champia and Kapil Singh.
In individual events, all the Indian archers made an early
exit. Only two women archers - Dola Banerjee and Deepika
Kumar somehow managed to reach pre-quarter final stage while
the other archers fell either in first or second rounds.
